Apstrakt:
Contemporary trends in global tourism require authentic or minimally changed environmental sites. At the particular market, destinations with the unspoilled ambient rural sites, where it is possible to valuate gastronomic peculiarities in a better way, could be considered as the opportunities of Serbia. The food became an important factor of people’s identity, regarding that it is permanently related with particular country and it represents its wealth and heritage. Each country has its characteristics which make it different and typical and that difference is the base that tourism is based on. This study shows developing aspects of: cultural tourism (which is related with tourist participation in any type of cultural manifestation – e.g. direct participation in the production of specific local specialities which are made of autochthonous organicaly grown raw materials), rural tourism (as a type of cultural tourism) and eco rural tourism, regarding gastronomy as a common element of this type of turnover.
