Restrukturiranje i privatizacija u energetskom sektoru Republike Srbije

The aim of this paper is that, based on critical observation of conducted reform of the energy sector in Serbia, to point out the main directions of further process of its transformation. The paper consists of four chapters and the concluding reviews. The first chapter introduces a new package of directives of European Union as a regulatory framework in which our country is obligated as a member of the regional energy market. The second chapter analyzes the process of reorganization and privatization of domestic energy companies. In the third chapter level of electricity prices in Serbia is compared to the level in countries of the European Union, and the fourth chapter points out consequences of the policy of depreciated prices of electricity. Finally in the concluding reviews, a short overview of strategic objectives of energy sector development is given.
