(Ne)konkurentnost industrije Srbije – potreba za reindustrijalizacijom

Apstrakt:
The aim of this paper is to point out the problem of insufficient competitiveness of Serbian industry and the needs for reindustrialization of Serbian economy. The paper is consisted of four chapters and concluding remarks. In introduction there was presented the concepts of industrial development in the second half of the 20th century, during the crisis in the 1990s, as well as during the period of restructuring and privatization in the 2000s. The second chapter provides a picture of international position of Serbian industry and analyses the consequences of low level of competitiveness, in first line the expressed foreign trade imbalance. The third chapter gives insight into the effects of foreign direct investments on development of Serbian industry, in first line the effects on productivity and labour costs. The fourth chapter provides information about state mechanisms for support of industrial development and exports of industrial products. Finally, the last section summarizes key message and define supportive measures which should be undertaken for industrial development of Serbian economy.
