Apstrakt:
In this article the Finite Element Method(FEM) is used to solve the task of analyzing the electric field of spherical electrodes with laboratory equipment for investigating the breakthrough voltage of air gaps. The task is solved numerically by means of two programs for electric field analysis through FEM: FEMM and ELECNET. In result of the analysis, the main electric field parameters have been calculated: potential, intensity, energy, and capacity of the system of two electrodes. The experimental research performed confirms the correctness of the approach with numerical modeling and analysis of the electrostatic field in this specific task.
