Apstrakt:
This article presents the outcomes from experimental study of the depth microhardness of burnished specimens made of middlecarbon steel as well as the variation of the material microstructure due to applying deformation. The burnishing process has been carried out by means of adding rotations around crossing axes and differs from the conventional singleroller burnishing since the process has been fulfilled in conditions of simultaneously tangential and axial skid between the deforming roller having toroidal working surface and the workpiece being burnished.
