PLC Library Element for Control of Unwinding Process

This article concerns a special PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) application named DANCER_UNWINDER. There are available many possibilities for realization. The standard way is the functionality to be programmed from the customer via the programming system of the corresponding PLC. In this article is discussed another approach creation of predefined library element, which can be offered like a standard functionality of the PLC. The advantages for the customers are several there is no need to go deeper in the corresponding technology, the workability and the quality of this predefined functionality is guaranteed from the company who produces the PLC. The library element is programmed directly in the PLC, but it is defined and can be used with the programming system CoDeSys.
