Interdisciplinary Education: A Master Programme in Information and Communication Systems (ICS)

This paper presents development of a complete master degree programme at the point of intersection between information technology and communications. Learning materials are open, reusable, in the form of task for performance, organized in modules and complete courses and they covere the complete programme of ICS curriculum, on five servers, in four languages. All learning resources are produced according to Distributed Internet-based Performance-centred System Model. The ICS master was developed under the project Internet-based Performancecentered Learning Environment for Curriculum Support (IPLECS) within the European Union's Lifelong Learning Programme. The programme started in 2009/2010 in Plovdiv University, Physic Faculty with 12 part time students.
