Using of Standardized Modular Milling Cutters for Preliminary and not Specialized Milling Cutters for Finally Cutting Cilindrical Gears on Machining Centers

The paper studies the use of standardized modular milling cutters for precutting and not specialized cutters for final cutting of cylindrical gears teeth on machining centers. Dependencies are obtained for determining displacement of cutters, ensuring the minimum added to the final cut of the teeth and the deviations from the nominal profile, the resulting discrepancy in the number of teeth which is profiled cutters with the number of teeth cutting wheel. It was found that the resulting tolerances do not lead to deviations in the final cut of the tooth profile and added the minimum is not provided in the gears with a large number of teeth and a large module.
