Apstrakt:
As regards health, ethical and social aspects, the use of radio and telecommunication terminal equipment implies the existence of a risk to the users of such equipment. An additional problem is that there is still no general standard for radio and telecommunication terminal equipment that could define principles for the design of this type of equipment with an emphasis on risk assessment and risk reduction. Based on the new standard for risk assessment in the field of machinery, EN ISO 12100, this paper proposes methodology for risk assessment in the use of mobile phones, which is viewed as a typical representative of radio and telecommunication terminal equipment. Based on the proposed methodology, the paper presents the research results of risk assessment that may arise in the use of mobile phones by children. The aim of the research is to define all possible risks in the use of mobile phones and their ranking by using the defined methodology.
